I DON"T KNOW HOW I FEEL ABOUT THIS....

WHEN I FIRST REALLY GOT INTO CHOPPERS,I HAD TO DIG DEEP. WHEN I FIRST SAW A CHOPPER AS A KID I COULDN'T EVEN IMAGINE HOW IT WAS DONE AND IT WAS UNOBTAINABLE. LATER IN 93 I STARTED TO DIG,I REMEMBER WHEN -IRON HORSE- WAS A WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE,I WOULD READ THEM COVER TO COVER, IN RICHMOND VA I WAS ALONE ON THE CHOPPER THING,NO OTHER PEOPLE FROM MY GENERATION WERE INTO IT. I BOUGHT PAUGHO SPRINGER'S FOR 50 BUCKS,RIGID FRAMES FOR 75 BUCKS,COFFIN TAIL LITES FROM 2 BUCKS TO TEN BUCKS AND MUCH MORE. THESE FOLKS I WAS BUYING FROM HAD THIS SHIT FOREVER AND THOUGHT I WAS A RETARD EVEN WANTING THIS STUFF. WHEN PSYCO CHOPPERS SHOWED UP I KNEW THE CHANGE WAS COMING. REMEMBER ROGER MERITS BIKE? STEG,INDIAN LARRY,FRITZ?,PUNK ROCK.. NEW YORK HAD IT GOIN ON. AND OF COURSE JASON JESSEE MADE WAY FOR SKATERS. ANYWAY...DO WE REALLY WANT CHOPPERS TO BE THAT ACCESSIBLE,DO WE WANNA JUST GIVE IT AWAY? I'M SURE THIS IS A CYCLE AND PROBABLY HAPPENED IN THE MID-LATE 70'S. I DON'T WANNA FEEL SAFE, GIMMIE DANGER. KEEP IT UNDER GROUND,KEEP IT SCARY...

  2. Real bikes are learning by doing - everything else are just Inspiration. So i´ll say no worry - even if the wannabes can buy all parts online and have a cool profile on the web - they don´t have the style to ride like hell. That style will only come if you try try and try again - if you know what I mean.

    Cheers
